  • Day 1 - Freycinet National Park

Wineglass Bay, Frecinet National Park Honeymoon Bay, Frecinet National Park Sleepy Bay, Frecinet National Park Sleepy Bay Workshop, Frecinet National Park

After arriving in Hobart we’ll pick up our transport and head out to our accommodation at the beautiful coastal town of Bicheno. Once we’re fed and watered we’ll head out to our first location; the world renown Freycinet National Park.

Our first shoot will take in the amazing viewpoint overlooking Wineglass Bay and if you’re feeling a little more adventurous why not venture further onto the beach itself.

After dining overlooking the Hazards, we’ll head out to shoot the sunset at the tranquil Honeymoon Bay where the sun sets perfectly framed by the rocky coastline of the bay.

  • Day 2 - Bay of Fires

Binalong Bay, Bay of Fires Eddystone Lighthouse, Bay of Fires Picnic Rocks, Bay of Fires Details, Bay of Fires

Today’s sunrise, a short walk down to the rock-strewn platform of the unforgettable Sleepy Bay. Then back to Bicheno where we’ll eat a hearty breakfast and once we’ve checked out we’ll travel north to the Bay of Fires.

The Bay of Fires extends from Binalong Bay in the south to Eddystone Lighthouse in the north. Our base here is at St. Helens where we’ll take some time to scout out the area of Binalong Bay so we’re well prepared for our Sunrise shoot there on day three.

After lunch, we’ll head out to Picnic Rocks and Eddystone Lighthouse in Mount William National Park. We’ll see the wild side of the East Coast here, where orange lichen covered rocks meet the azure blue of the southern seas.

  • Day 3 & 4 - Cradle Mountain

Cradle Mountain National Park Photo Tour, Pencil Pine Falls, Cradle Mountain National Park Photo Tour, Cradle Mountain National Park Canyon Walk, Cradle Mountain National Park

A short 10-minute journey takes us to Binalong Bay for our sunrise shoot where we’ll shoot the bay with its twisted trees and picture postcard views.

Back in St Helens for breakfast, checkout and then it's west across the island and on to Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park.

Probably the highlight for most photographers who visit Tasmania is the area around the world heritage listed Cradle Mountain reserve. Our 2 nights here will give us plenty of time to explore this iconic area and make the most of our opportunities here.

At sunrise and sunset will take in different views over Dove Lake, Cradle Mountain and the famous boat shed. During our full day, we’ll have optional walks to Twisted Lakes and the Canyon Track along Pencil Pine Creek to Pencil Pine Falls. There will even be an opportunity for a helicopter flight over the park.

  • Day 5 - Queenstown & Lake St Clair

Queenstown Photo Tour Lake St Clair, Photo Tour Lake St Clair, Photo Tour and Workshop Cuckoo Falls River

Day five sees us journey through the wilds of western Tasmania. We’ll have a brief stop at Queenstown to take in the other worldly landscape of this long-forgotten mining town and then it’s onto shoot the amazing Nelson falls.

We’ll follow the Nelson Falls Nature Trail through beautiful moss draped rocks and trees and onto the falls themselves. This really is a hidden gem!

Our final destination today is the beautiful Lake St Clair. We’ll shoot the lake at sunset and then retire to the Derwent Bridge Wilderness Hotel for a well deserved night cap.

  • Day 6 - Russell Falls & Home

Mount Field National Park, Photo Tour Russell Falls, Photo Tour

Our final day sees us travel back to Hobart via Mount Field National Park. Here we’ll be shooting the enigmatic Russell and Horseshoe Falls. It’s then onto the airport to catch our plane back to Sydney and our final fair-wells … and a well-deserved rest.

We try and pack plenty of locations shoots into our tours but as with all outdoor activities we're always at the mercy of the weather. When we can’t get out we’ll utilise our time with Lightroom sessions and general R&R.
